About Me
Hi, I’m Ren (formerly Rachel or Rach)! I've been a personal trainer for six years and have enjoyed every minute of it. My journey into personal training began while I was working as an EMT. I started training on the side and quickly fell in love with it. My experience in emergency medical services gave me a deep appreciation for how crucial fitness is in preventing medical issues and promoting overall well-being as we age.
I’m the proud owner of Chin-Up Training, a gym dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive space for everyone, especially those who have ever felt out of place in traditional wellness settings. Chin-Up Training has two locations right next door to each other. One side is dedicated entirely to personal training, so clients are able to get a much more private experience than they would in a typical gym.
My training philosophy is centered on meeting you where you are. I specialize in strength training, functional fitness, group workouts, and working with diverse populations, including those with larger bodies and seniors. I believe that every fitness experience should be positive and empowering, and I’m committed to ensuring you leave each session feeling stronger and more confident.
Many of my clients come to me after having challenging or traumatic experiences with fitness in the past.
